Every February, the Global Foundation convenes a ‘State of the World’ Roundtable, bringing together a carefully selected group of distinguished global citizens to discuss some of the world’s most substantial issues and help shape pathways towards ‘cooperative globalisation’ that is transformative, fair, inclusive and prosperous.
Part Two continued the momentum from Part One, focusing on the progress and prospects for the Foundation’s Global Project with an emphasis on Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. This year, the Foundation also aims to expand the Global Project’s agenda by addressing the restoration and preservation of the world’s oceans, also known as climate change’s ‘blue problem.’ Like tropical forests, the ocean is an important carbon sink and integral to the functioning of our climate.
Part Two was hosted by Foundation Partner, Mr Jeff Dimery, CEO of Alinta Energy, taking place in-person, at Alinta Energy’s Southbank Offices in Melbourne and online, via Teams, on Wednesday, 19 February 5:15pm-7:00pm AEDT.
