The Global Foundation plans a global mission to Beijing 28-29 April 2023, its first visit to China in over 3 years due to the pandemic.

Our mission will be co-led by Ms Louise Watson, Chairman of our Board; and Dr Mark Cutifani, Chairman of our Global Advisory Council; along with Secretary General, Mr Steve Howard.

Our hosting partner in China will be the Center for China and Globalisation (CCG), one of China’s most important global think tanks. Dr Huiyao (Henry) Wang, President of CCG, is an active member of our Global Advisory Council and many other international bodies.

The Chinese Government, through its Ambassador to Australia HE Xiao Qian, is also enabling the mission.

Consistent with the continuing partnering work between the Foundation and China over more than 20 years, the primary focus of the mission will be how to ensure stronger collaboration and international co-operation in re- making globalisation.

Our mission will enable members and supporters from corporate, investor, university and non-government sectors to participate and meet with like-minded peers in China.

The Foundation mission will also happily dovetail with the Australian China Business Council (ACBC) high-level delegation, which will conclude its multi-city mission to China in Beijing on 28 April. This will allow those wishing to take part in the Foundation mission to also join the ACBC delegation, in whole or part, if they wish to do so.
