Beijing Mission, 28 & 29 April 2023
On April 28 & 29, the Global Foundation commenced the Mission to Beijing, marking the Foundation’s first visit to China in three years. The mission was led by Louise Watson, Mark Cutifani, and Steve Howard.
The program commenced on the afternoon of Friday, 28 April with a briefing from seasoned professors at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) who have a deep understanding of China’s business and economic landscape and its implications for global businesses. This was followed by a formal welcome dinner hosted by the Global Foundation.
The morning of Saturday, 29 April saw our program partner, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), China’s most significant global think tank, host a roundtable discussion. The dialogue focused on how to ensure stronger collaboration and international co-operation in redefining globalisation through understanding the impact of global economic and political trends, with the aim of encouraging greater cooperation and understanding between China and the rest of the world.
the afternoon of Saturday, 29 April, the Foundation had the opportunity to meet with senior Chinese Officials, followed by a drinks reception to mark the conclusion of the Beijing Mission.
